Taxi in Austin will be booked for $23, something that works for most people. After doing a lot of looking around and talking to other sites, $20 was the number I was comfortable paying.

A look at the site revealed that it cost me $22 to rent a cab. This was after checking my credit card. The AT&T is about 2 blocks from my house, so I decided to see if I could charge $25 for a taxi ride to get to the AT&T. You can choose to book any type of cab in Austin by simply picking the nearest pickup point.

In general you can take advantage of UberX and UberXL in Austin and get around town for a couple of bucks. UberX is the cheapest option, paying $1.50 per minute. Your driver is limited to the area around Austin, and they don't count towards your 13 city-wide trip limit. UberXL is the more expensive option, paying $1.75 per minute. You have the option to give your driver an incentive for tipping, and the more they tip you, the more miles and points they'll earn.
