I was waiting at Shenfield taxi rank when a car pulled up with no taxi signs. The driver wound his window down & said it was okay to get in as he was a Brentwood taxi. At this point another car pulled up behind him (with taxi signs) & the driver jumped out & told me not to get in that car because it wasn't a taxi, it was an Uber vehicle illegally touting for business. I got into the licensed Brentwood taxi & the driver explained that they get alot of Uber vehicles coming onto Shenfield taxi rank when it's busy & trying to pick people up. I have never used Uber before & don't think I will ever be tempted to use them ever after this incident. This is absolutely disgusting & dangerous.
