Last Friday 14th December 2018 I took an Uber - TRIP ZHJL6 - Hassan - from Bristol to Portishead - and paid for it with my credit card. My bank subsequently stopped the payment because it was an unusual one, I had not used Uber before and they thought it might be a fraudulent transaction. I am now trying to contact Uber to pay them the £18.82 but cannot find out how to do so. I want to use Uber frequently now but until I get this sorted, I cannot. Please advise.

I am based in Bristol, UK. I have a very small fleet (2 cars). I mainly operate on the London Underground, but my trips are all by Uber. My trips are mainly to and from places like Manchester, London, Birmingham and Bristol. I mostly use Uber Black, but sometimes Uber X. The first time I used Uber Black, I felt safe, but after 5-10 minutes of waiting, I felt very unsafe and had to get off the bus. So I decided not to use Uber Black again. I have had a lot of problems with the service in the past few months, but Uber is very good at solving those issues. I have always been very happy with the service and my overall experience has been good. So, I would recommend Uber Black to anyone that wants a quick and secure taxi ride.

Uber rates in Bristol £10 a night, but commuting in the city takes up to 90 minutes in a taxi with Uber. I know many people in the UK who choose to share a vehicle rather than take the cost of owning one and depending on their time of day, day of week and what they do during their commute. If we are able to use this to our advantage then we could have significantly less congestion in Bristol and give cyclists an easier way to get around.
