Taxi prices in Calgary are well below the national average, according to a report released Thursday by the Calgary Centre for Demographics and Statistics. But they are much higher in downtown Calgary, where Uber drivers are paid a poverty-wage rate of about $12 an hour, says the report by the Demographic Institute and researchers at the University of Calgary.
