Taxi prices in Cambridge continue to climb despite city council pushing for a 10-minute minimum wait from 8pm. This week, the prices were moved up by 10 per cent, and some taxi drivers say they now pay £1.50 for a short trip from Brook Way to Westgate Shopping Centre. Drivers are being challenged over their charges on the many lanes of traffic in the city centre. Many lane closures at bus stops led to higher fares for taxi drivers.
