Taxi prices in Cape Coral, FL are high, so be prepared to pay a higher price than other cities. Rent prices in Cape Coral, FL are also higher than other cities in Florida. Once you've got the basics covered you'll likely want to hit up Uber which is an excellent service for taxi trips in South Florida. They're generally cheaper (which is nice) and their mobile app allows you to pick up from any location within a city. The best time to use Uber is during traffic and during the peak times in airports.

Uber rates in Cape Coral, Fla., and some other areas of the city range from $1.50 an hour to $3, and sometimes much higher. That means that many people who need transportation in central Cape Coral, or along routes along Florida's famed "Bay Harbor Islands," cannot afford the $4 fare. Driver expenses included gasoline, insurance, maintenance and repairs to the car. And the businesses that were already forcing out the Uber drivers may have expanded that practice further.

Taxi prices in Cape Coral remain very low, meaning the city is still one of the cheapest options for making the trip, especially if you're flying in for the day. Cape Coral will certainly not be as popular a destination as Miami and Austin, but if you're looking for a cheap way to get to the beach, southern Florida and the Caribbean, you should definitely look into it. The national average for cab fare is around $30. The hourly rate for a new driver, including taxes, is about $22.50. Extra revenue from charging in the area or of taxi partners on rides to and from their home, or a portion of the fare of an extra fare for a longer distance, are taxed to the local government.

Uber rates in Cape Coral are extremely competitive and there's also low gas prices and clean air as well. It's a great place to rent and it's the best place I have been so far in South Florida. Uber rates in Cape Coral range from $5.50 to $6.50 a mile depending on how far a driver walks. From the highway to Cape Coral, there is a charging station for $8.50 a mile. Cape Coral also has a charging station for $3 a mile. I think we can see Cape Coral really take the lead in opening up the world of taxis. With Uber already providing service throughout the city it makes sense to put an interface in there for drivers, so they know where the market is going.
