Uber rates in Clearwater and other locations is actually pretty good for everybody and there's no doubt that if someone is willing to drive in of themselves, it's usually going to be cheaper than someone pulling up in their own car.

Taxi prices in Clearwater have stayed fairly steady. Meanwhile, prices in Palm Harbor have dropped by about 20 percent since the same time last year. The average cost of a day in Clearwater taxi fare has gone down as well. Uptown passengers could be paying in the neighborhood of $51.60 for a short ride, compared to $54.44 a couple of years ago. People driving to and from work may be paying $69.80, according to the same data. One can, and probably will, earn a good sum in these places, but ask the waiter to skim the tip if possible. Business seems slow at these places. Meanwhile, prices are still rising in other parts of the state.
