Taxi prices in Durban continue to be very high by South African standards. In addition, the taxi sector is very uncompetitive and expensive and the services provided by our taxi fleet have not been adequately tailored to ensure maximum user convenience. It's also likely that these high prices are a result of interest and demand in the countryside and economy from the South. We can't predict how some South African taxi companies will fare, but it is likely that there will be lower fares and more alternatives to the big players.
