A new study from Uber confirms that drivers in Edmonton, AB are among the most satisfied in the country. The study of 2,000 drivers in Edmonton, AB, also finds that drivers are most likely to report feeling confident that they have the skill set to make a good living in the transportation industry.

More than half (53%) of Edmonton, AB's Uber drivers report having been satisfied or very satisfied with the business they have been part of so far. While a majority (59%) of drivers in the city say they are satisfied with the company itself, a third (33%) report that they feel they are making more money than they would if they were driving for a traditional cab company. In addition, 80% of Uber drivers in the city say they are driving more frequently than they were before.


"There's a lot of satisfaction in Edmonton and the drivers are also driving more often than they have before," said Uber Canada Chief Revenue Officer.

Taxi prices in Edmonton have risen dramatically in recent years, with many saying there's little reason for anybody to get out of their car when there's a price hike on the horizon. You just have to start counting how many more riders they've added over the last five years, as they just ramp up the price for the members of their staff. Also, while the city also has one of the highest rates of inflation in Canada, it hasn't seen an increase in Uber fares.
