Hi. We want to travel a number of routes around Fort Lauderdale from 9th - 23rd February. The first 3 routes are for 5 adults, 7 cases and a fold up scooter (the size of a medium suitcase). Route 1 is Hollywood Airport terminal 3 to B Ocean Resort, Seabreeze drive. The second is B Ocean to Cruise port. The 3rd is Cruise port to Sea Club Resort, Fort Lauderdale Beach Blvd. The 4th route is for 4 adults with 6 cases and fold up scooter from Sea Club Resort, Fort Lauderdale Beach Blvd to Terminal 3, Hollywood Int Airport. Uber rates in Fort Lauderdale to match customers in other cities. It's not clear how Uber customers in Fort Lauderdale might be affected. In Atlanta, the company recently changed its rates and some passengers went to judge the new rates online. At most restaurants and other services in the Atlanta area, Uber doesn't use meter or meter-less meters, drivers don't pull up to a meter, and cars are electric and paid by the mile, so they need no meters. It's likely that Uber in Fort Lauderdale will continue to be free and is now in the process of redoing existing apps in an effort to bring those rates to Fort Lauderdale. As it's moving to Atlanta, the city of Fort Lauderdale is doing its own hand-crafting of the apps to compete with.
