Taxi prices in Lincoln are roughly five times that in other parts of the city (much higher in the Back Bay, Lakeview and Hyde Park areas). This means there are bound to be a few trips that cross the city's 20 or so zones. And who wants to take that? Uber rates in Lincoln Park, the rest of CityPlace area, and Long Beach have been also been put on hold. The company says it will be rolling out the changes "as soon as possible" if all the affected cities give it clear, on-time and affordable movement permits.
