I got my receipt yesterday for a journey for £45.58 and was disappointed to see i was charged £52 from my bank account. I would like to be refunded this a,punt immediately as this is very distressful and makes me think twice before using one of your services again. Further more £45.58 was a price way higher than suggested by your app, we were told it would be roughly £37 which is why we didn’t bother calling a normal minicab as they offered a price of £40. As well as this we were charged a waiting time for a reason I do not know of, we were waiting outside before the Uber driver even came, as soon as he came (after taking a few wrong turns might I add) we got into the car immediately. Again so why am I being charged £0.52 waiting time. If anything we should be given money for waiting as your Uber driver took wrong turns coming to us, not the other way round. Please reply ASAP as this matter cannot go further unsolved. Thanks.

In October 2016 Uber announced that it would enter London as a licensed operator, which means drivers can work for it legally. Uber is also one of the biggest private hire drivers in London, and more than 10,000 Uber drivers currently do this.
Uber has a number of benefits over the other private hire companies (PHCs), including a greater proportion of its profits that goes back to drivers. It has also been criticised by taxi companies and other PHCs for being overly aggressive in trying to cut down on the competition from taxis.
But it has not fared well in some other cities either, with a ban in the US being lifted by a court this month and a court in France lifting a ban against Uber last month.
So while Uber's benefits are clear, its problems are not, and in London it faces the challenge of getting its business up to scratch.
