Taxi prices in Maidstone have been plummeting as they compete for riders. Maidstone's "greedy" taxi drivers have been charging a premium for a new service called "UberX" that allows drivers to earn about 15% of the fare, compared to 5% today. Some drivers have simply left the app, while others are starting to abandon Uber altogether.
