Uber rates in Milwaukee County are increasing, hitting 17.0 percent this year for some trips, and at least a third of those are originating downtown. Took my '99/01 3.5 on S. 6th St, isn't long enough for them to, ya know, pay attention to me. TripStart, however, charged almost half that! Didn't realize the trip was not long enough for them to, ya know, pay attention to me. Not sure if this is a new or old law, though. These prices have skyrocketed since when the city authorized Uber and Lyft to negotiate the city's $96 million budget. The resulting price increase was even more steep than originally anticipated.
