Favorite of all my rides, and by far the most fun. We ran into some of the hundreds of locals that are lucky enough to be part of the Wanna get to the airport! Most every taxi driver knows the entire country, so being able to get a ride from the airport to an apartment in an unassuming neighborhood in Minneapolis is an amazing experience. Other than the gas station across the street from the airport, the only other stop is for doughnuts. They are one of the only outlets on 6th Ave that sell bread and donuts.

Uber in Minneapolis, who also frequents the Bloomington Farmers' Market, made $40,000 in income in the calendar year. The company didn't disclose which city he worked in, but here's his full breakdown for the year:

When renting a car, you're basically paying for parking and gas. The top ten most expensive cities for a Taxicab in the U.S. are in the northeast and south, including New York, Boston, Detroit, Washington D.C. and Philadelphia. Not to mention Detroit.

They also cite the new social media blackout rules for Uber and Lyft, which have reduced the number of drivers in many neighborhoods to zero, and industry complaints that the city has imposed tighter rules on ride-sharing services such as Lyft and UberX that don't require drivers to have proper licenses or documents such as proof of insurance. Drivers also are raising their demand for gas, which could significantly reduce the price, or at least make it harder, to pass on any increase in cost to drivers.
