I think Uber's not perfect, but I have ridden with it and never had a problem. They always take me to the right place in time. The prices are fair for the services. If you ride with Uber, I suggest calling them to confirm the time your ride will take. The ride is short. You can always tell if your driver is busy, as they are more likely to take longer to get to your destination.

I'd definitely recommend this service. The only problem is that you need to be on the Uber app to use it, but once you get on, it works fine.

Driving in Orlando can be tricky for anyone with a car. But if you really have the means, Orlando's Virgin Atlantic offers something most airports in the U.S. do not: a direct Uber to your hotel. With just a single credit card payment from your onboard account, you can fly from anywhere in the United States and a hotel anywhere in Orlando, and your rides will arrive at the same time to both destinations. And it's pretty cheap with free pickup.

The law requires drivers in Orlando to have a "transportation authorization document" issued by the Florida Department of Transportation, the Orlando Police Department or a third party authorized by any of them. The document can be issued by any of the agencies in the state that issued the license at the time of the driver's application, however, it is the vehicle registration certificate that gives the police authority to look at the driver's cab for other regulatory purposes, such as traffic inspections.

Taxi prices in Orlando at the moment are really not that much different than in NYC. Do not expect to pay much less in cab fare but not much more as well. However, the ride time is a fraction of what it would be in NYC. There is no denying that Orlando International Airport is in a unique spot. It's located right in the middle of the country in relation to most other large airports. Plus it is near major cities such as Orlando, Miami, Miami Beach, South Florida and and West Palm Beach. For those times when you can't afford to take the car or have to use public transportation, the airport is here to help you. As a result, lots of tourists come to Orlando to travel in and out of the airport.
