Paris has the second-highest taxi fares, just behind London. In order to keep Parisians from feeling like they are under siege, the authorities continue to increase fares even as the number of taxi drivers decreases and cab drivers aren't allowed to discuss discounts with other drivers. Taxi prices in Paris are still high, but the city, like other major European cities, has a lot of transport options for getting around. Unfortunately, you can't really get a good price on the distance you'll need to cover between your hotel and a taxi. You'll be better off paying a taxi driver (plus the rate if you accept them), and sending your limousine driver.
